Welcome to the Accidentalists' website*

Once upon a time when this website was very young it used to be looked after lovingly by band members. But life moves on, websites grow up and we were sort of hoping this one would acquire some sense of independence, autonomy, even responsibility. Alas, it has disappointed us. It does not bother to find out spontaneously (or even to spontaneously find out) where our gigs are (if indeed we have any gigs - sometimes we do - sometimes we don't). It is not working day and night to promote The Accidentalists. If we don't do anything it just sits there, doing absolutely nothing.

Basically this is a lazy website.

So the only thing we can think of, for now, is to leave it to lead its own life, and (we hope) learn from the experience. We may occasionally update the gig pages (we'll try to leave a calling card to say when it was updated - but you'll probably be able to guess, if all the gigs are in the past, when we've not updated it for a while*). But a lot of the information on the various pages listed on the left is now years out of date - don't blame us - it's the lazy website's fault.

HOWEVER: TO ENCOURAGE THIS WEBSITE TO BEHAVE INDEPENDENTLY, WE HAVE GIVEN IT THE IMPORTANT TASK OF PROVIDING YOU WITH A FREE** DIGITAL DOWNLOAD OF OUR CLASSIC CD, ENTITLED (IMAGINATIVELY) "THE ACCIDENTALISTS". JUST CLICK HERE...

Let's see if it can manage this simple task, at least. If it does, we might give it something else to do.

Physical copies of the CD are still available. Come to one of our gigs and buy one, for old time's sake (that is, if our lazy website can ever get around to telling you when our gigs are)
.

* Not all websites are so lazy. For example Chris Newman's website usually has a much more up to date list of gigs. It is a very well-behaved website (not like some other websites we know).
** You can pay if you want, and what you want, but we wouldn't want to deter you from downloading it for financial reasons.

Finally, since this website never even clears up after itself, the remainder of this page also allows you to play some sample live recordings that we made ages and ages ago. Since they are there, and you (we suppose) must be here, you might as well listen to them (but don't forget to download our album as well - it's much better)
